Birth Control Options
Whether used for contraception or not, many women benefit from using hormones to prevent pregnancy, improve heavy menstrual cycles, minimize pain with their periods, or even improve acne. Other women prefer to use a birth control that is hormone-free. Sometimes, the options can be overwhelming and it is hard to know what is right for you. Through discussions with your provider, you can decide if a shorter term option such as condoms, Phexxi (contraceptive gel), pills, a patch, or the vaginal ring will be best, or if instead an intrauterine device (IUD) or Nexplanon are more fit for your current needs.
Below are websites that focus on helping people choose the right birth control method to fit into their lifestyle.
